WQXR’s star broadcaster Elliott Forrest moderates the evening’s activities and leads Joshua and Frederic in a lively conversation about their early years, their aspirations, their mentors and their influential moments. At the end of the conversation, before the beginning of the performance, Frederic presented Joshua with a special artistic gift: his fingerprint rendered by artist Sandy Garnett, joining a growing collection of fingerprint “portraits” that include those of David Bowie and Chuck Close.
