NYC 70s Downtown Birthday Bash

Hurricane Sandy forced us to postpone this event initially, but we ended up with a full house for a celebration of our first year of activities and the incredible artistic fervor of the 1970s in Downtown NYC.

• Work from Established Artists from the 70s Audrey Flack, Larry Silver, Marisol and Michael David were shown alongside young artists of today working in with a similar spirit – Duvian Montoya, Chris Cryamer, Jahmane West & Kevin Ford.
• A slide show of iconic figures from the 70‘s with readings by audience members
• A graffiti car by JAHMANE- an homage to Gil Scott Heron greeted people at the door
• Music by Philip Glass and Gao Ping
• Wood-fired pizza by the Big Green Truck
• Artist talks by Audrey Flack and Larry Silver
• DJ dancing with DJ Groove 7
