Arts Immersion Salon Vibrations - Body, Mind, Heart Salon Around the World© June 2013

Making the Effect of Art & Music Visible:

This incredibly innovative salon took the “intimate” side of our events to another level.

  • Music: Exploring the connections between the arts and Body/Mind/Heart, Frederic gave a sneak preview of his most recent recording, “Hymns & Dervishes”, based on ancient tunings that are said to tap into different vibrations in the body.
  • Audience Heart & Mind Map: Neuro-feedback experts from Cleveland’s BrainMaster captured brain-wave and heart-rate response to the music from several audience volunteers and projected it as a composite visual over the piano — the first known capture of its kind anywhere!
  • Auras: Several participants also had their bioelectric “auras” measured before and after the performance, looking for the effect of the music on their bioelectric signals.
  • Panel Discussion on Music and its effects on the heart and mind: Elena Mannes author, Tom Collura BrainMaster, Kathleen Riley of Proforma Vision, Hugo Higuera Electrophototonic Therapist
  • Art & Installation was curated to the theme: Tom Berntsen and Denise Minnerly created beautiful installations under the famed Copper Beech and beautiful paintings hung from both young and established artists
  • including: Alberta Cifolelli, Joan Wheeler,
Culinary Arts was themed as well with chefs Daniel Lanzilotta and Raul Restrepo collaborating with Clinical Nutritionist Geri Zatcoff to develop foods that tap into Heart, Mind and Body needs.

As if that was not enough technology, we had our very first mini-beta test of our Salon-Around-the-World program with participants from Morroco & New Jersey!

Bruce Kasanoff, one of the brain monitoring volunteers,  wrote an interesting article on LinkedIn – it’s one of the Editor’s Choice Influencer articles! www.tinyurl.com/BeechwoodVibrations

Beechwood Arts “Salon Around the World”© is a reality!*

Two remote Salons watched the performance streamed live — one from New Jersey and the other from Morrocco!  Even more exciting is that both Salons were able to join us live in a two-way conversation with our audience at the reception!

We have opened up the possibility of having people around the world participate in an intimate, innovative and immersive salon, yet be able to “meet” and share that experience with hundreds, even thousands, of other people.

We already have interest from San Francisco, North Carolina, France and even China to be part of future events.

*(streaming made possible by a generous donation by Amy Kessler and Dan Bertram).
